This beautifully unique mirror is framed with inlaid henna-dyed bone and hand-embossed metal. The hand-carved bone is from camel, sheep or cow and is stained with natural henna dye.

ABOUT THE ARTISAN

Charkaoui Mohammed handcrafts decorative mirrors, lanterns and furniture in his one-man workshop in the medina (old town) of Marrakech, Morocco. He learned the skills to create decorative accessories, including carving and metalwork, from his father. Charkaoui supports his family through the sale of his beautiful handcrafts.
